Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy!

I am so excited!!! I got a cuttlebug machine for my birthday and tons of embossing folders and dies, it was an early birthday present from my best friend! I haven't had a chance to play with it. It just arrived yesterday and I just opened the package and looked at it, I had promised my girls that we would go see High School Musical, (which was great by the way!). So we came home and I was just to tired to play. I just returned to work after being out for three weeks and I have been swamped! But I will be playing with it today and making cool stuff!
By the way, I know my pictures aren't that great, I have no idea how to take them but I will keep looking. :) Adios! until next time...

My latest cards

I am so proud... haha! It takes me hours to complete one card, but I just feel good afterwards. Sure, I am not as good as some of my favorite stampers on here, but its all great fun just the same!. I am going to be getting that sewing machine as I mentioned, but I still have to learn how to sew. Although my mom is great at sewing, I never took the time to learn. She used to make all of prom dresses! I guess creativity runs in the family lol. Now I am regretting it big time. I will learn, its my new goal. I can't believe the holidays are upon us and that we will be making our Christmas cards soon. I have to start now, and I haven't a clue as to what I am going to do. I got some stamps on sale last year after the Christmas season was over. I haven't used them, maybe I will. I have a lot to ponder, lol.

Splash card... one of my faves!

I love to use glitter glue in most of my cards to add a little bit of sparkle to them. This card is one of my favorites that I made today. I spent most of the day stamping with my new stamps. I tend to make 4 cards at a time exactly the same then I save one as a sample and use the other three when I need a card for a special person. I give my cards to people who I know will really appreciate the time and effort I put into them.

Some of my creations

I have been rubber stamping since 2001. I do it because it relaxes me and its my creative outlet. When I am rubber stamping my mind is focused on what I am making and not all the stress in my life. I like do do all sorts of things using stamps but I prefer cards. I also like to make scrapbooks of my girls, and little albums using sandwich paper bags. Once I learned how to do those albums, I was hooked. I was a Stampin Up demonstrator for a few years, but I had to give it up, because work and my three beautiful daughters took priority. I would love to do it again and teach others how to rubber stamp, maybe someday. I still haven't been able to get this blog page the way I want it, but I will keep working on it. I am so excited about making more cards with all of my new stamps and posting them on here. I am a single mom, and I am not going to lie, I love to buy stamps when they are on sale, and on occasion I will treat myself to some expensive stamps. I got this Splash clear stamp in a set on sale at my local craft store. I got a total of twelve stamps for the bargain price of $5.oo. And I was even more excited when I came home and realized that I had this stamp to go with it. It was perfect. I love my new creation. My birthday is coming up. And I already know what I want... a sewing machine so that I can start sewing my cards the way a lot of my favorite stampers do... I am going to add my list of the people who inspire me and I think are awesome, that is... once I know how to use this blog :)
